The name of this room reveals its originality. The windows overlook the Honour Courtyard, scene of the major performances of the Theatre Festival on one side, and the Petit Palais Museum and the Papal Gardens on the other side.

They provide marvellous light in this graceful room with its vaulted ceiling and intersecting ribs. This part of the Popes' Palace was built by Pope Benedict XII, in the sober style that was a reflection of his faith. It is easy to imagine the great dignitaries of the Church in this Cistercian monastery atmosphere.
