Built in 1337-1338, this storey of the Conclave wing has now been made into a long room. Its size is adaptable thanks to removable partitions. In the Middle Ages, this space housed six rooms with wooden ceilings, reserved for the workers in the Pantry and Bottle Storehouses. This service distributed free bread to the poor, giving away up to 30,000 loaves each day.
