Conditions of application for free

  • School groups in Avignon and Greater Avignon* (during school periods only) 
  • Young people attending school in Greater Avignon*, under 18 years old (every day from September 1 to June 30)
  • * COMMUNITIES OF GREATER AVIGNON: Avignon – Entraigues sur la Sorgue – Le Pontet – Morières les Avignon – Roquemaure – Saze – Velleron – Pujaut – Caumont sur Durance – Jonquerettes – Les Angles – Rochefort du Gard – Saint Saturnin les Avignon – Vedène – Villeneuve lez Avignon – Sauveterre
  • Accompanists of school groups who benefit from free admission (during school periods only): for example, groups of students under 8 years old or Grand Avignon school groups
  • European disability cards 
  • Free: for the holder of a disability card – Free: for 1 accompanying person for 1 holder of a disability card.
  • Disabled people holding the CMI card mentioning Disability
  • Disabled people holding the Priority CMI card
  • Accompaniers of disabled people with CMI disability card and CMI Priority: 1 free for each accompanying person

  • Guide-lecturers included in a personal or professional setting (if they have reserved paid entries for their clients) 
  • Avignon residents and residents of Montfavet: every Sunday of the year for the Palace and the Bridge / every day of the year for the gardens, on presentation of proof of address for a maximum of 3 months and a document identify
  • Children under 8 
  • From the 3rd child (8-17 years old) as part of the Palais + Pont family rate —> only for the Palais and the Bridge since the family ticket does not include the gardens 
  • Staff from sites belonging to the professional groups to which the Palais des Papes and the Pont belong (Bienvenue en Provence): free membership card for 2 people, or invitation card for 2 people according to the notice indicated on the card 
  • Staff of Vaucluse Provence Attrabilité member sites (employees of the VPA agency, employees of Vaucluse OTs, photographers and journalists mandated by VPA and partner sites of the Privilège Pro card): free Privilège Pro card + accompanying person  
  • Job seekers (on presentation of recent proof (6 months) and an identity document) 
  • ICOM/ICOMOS card holders (staff of national/international museums): free entry to the Palace and the Bridge 
  • Avignon residents under 26 years old holders of the Culture PASS issued by Avignon Town Hall: on presentation of the pass and an identity document 
  • Members of the “Amis du Palais” association (on presentation of membership card) 
  • Staff from Avignon City Pass reseller sites (having made a request in advance)
  • For all: during national cultural events in which the City has decided to be associated (e.g. Heritage Days)  
  • Adult groups (from 20 people):  

    • 1 companion free   

    • Bus drivers  

  • School groups:
    • Nursery and Primary: 2 free chaperones per class and 1 free additional chaperone per group of 8 students

    • 2 free chaperones per class and 1 free additional chaperone per group of 12 students
