Avignon Tourisme offers you a guided tour of the exhibition “À la vie, à l’amor”, the first monograph of Miss.Tic, who died in May 2022, which celebrates all the poetic force of her work.
- From June 27, 2024 to January 5, 2025, the exhibition “To life, to love- Art in the city, poetics of revolt (1985 – 2022)” by the French artist Miss Tic unfolds in the vast spaces of the Palace of the Popes. Visual artist, poet, pioneer of street art, known for her stencil works, she expressed herself for 40 years on the walls of the French capital. Her style is characterized by the sensual representation of femme fatales, accompanied by aphorisms expressed in the form of puns that advocate freedom and criticize a world subject to male dictates and power (“Power does not protect, it protects itself” ). She declared “not to have ideals but lofty ideas”.
- Her work is a true plastic, literary, societal and philosophical project that she has spray painted on our walls. She expressed her desires, her revolts, her humor, her thirst for justice, her love for life and for people. The exhibition inside the Palais des Papes, a place where masculine power was expressed, but also a place of culture, history and transmission, is the first posthumous retrospective of this artist. Arrive on site 15 minutes before.
